The unique and effective bio-availability of GliSODin lies in the innovative technology of combining the antioxidant enzyme: Superoxide dismutase (SOD) with gliadin, a wheat protein. This protective barrier makes the SOD stable within the body.
In the body SOD is naturally present, a primary antioxidant which neutralizes free radicals. SOD is part of an antioxidant enzyme defense system that includes Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and Catalase. This system is complemented by other secondary antioxidants provided by a person’s diet, such as CoQ 10, antioxidant vitamins (vitamins C and E), trace elements (Zn, Se, Cu, Mn) and polyphenols. It is the combination of these antioxidants that make it possible to fight against oxidative stress.
SOD cannot be replaced by diet and its activity decreases with age. GliSODin promotes the production of the body's own SOD, boosting the antioxidants activity to enable it to act where degenerative processes are taking place.
Numerous studies have been published in international journals demonstrating the impact and efficacy of GliSODin® in enzymatic system induction (SOD, Catalase, Glutathione peroxidase) and indications of oxidative stress and aging.
French dermatologists conducted an open study of 150 volunteers who were given GliSODin® (500 mg) daily for 60 days:
• 85% of the photosensitive participants reported that the combination of a sun screen and GliSODin® prevented the occurrence of sun allergies (benign summer lucitis)
• 88% of patients reported an improved quality of life, enhanced vitality, improved alertness and quicker recovery after physical exercise.
