Superoxyde Dismutase (SOD) is a well-known and extensively studied biologically active compound produced by most cells of the body.
As we age, production of SOD diminishes. SOD is often referred to as the Powerhouse Antioxidant or Master Defense enzyme.
It is critical to cellular health, protecting the cells from excessive oxygen radicals, free radicals and other noxious agents that cause premature aging or eventual cell death.
